Troubleshooting
How to fix a podcast RSS feed or missing episode
Diagnose an unreadable podcast RSS feed or missing episode in PodRescale. Check the public source, automatic import, last check and processing allowance.
Check why a feed or episode is missing and take the right import or processing action.

A missing episode can be a feed problem, a paused import or an episode that has been listed but not processed. Check each separately before changing the source.
1. Check the feed address
Open the feed address in your browser and confirm it is the public podcast RSS feed. It should contain the show's episode information, rather than a Spotify page, player or login screen.
Use the RSS address from your podcast host. If you do not know it, follow how to find your feed.
2. Check Your feed in PodRescale
Open Episodes → Manage feed. Check the address, last-check information and any reported error. Use Check now when you want a fresh check.
A feed check can take a short time to appear in Episodes. Return to the list after the app has confirmed that the check was requested.
3. Check whether automatic import is paused
Read the Import new episodes automatically setting. When it is paused, new episodes wait in the feed until you turn it back on or request a check.
Turning it on can also start eligible new episodes while allowance remains. Make sure that is the behaviour you want before changing it.
4. Check the episode at your host
Confirm that the episode appears in the actual feed, not only on your website or a listening app. If it is absent from the feed, check publication settings at the host.
If it is present in PodRescale but not processed, inspect its status and Settings → Plan & team. Importing the title into the list does not mean processing has started.
5. Handle a moved feed
If you changed podcast hosts, use Replace feed with the new address for the same show. Confirm the identity before saving. Existing episodes stay; follow the screen's guidance about newly imported episodes.
Do not replace the feed with an unrelated show to solve a missing-episode problem.
If the feed still fails
Contact support with the public feed URL, missing episode title and exact error. If you need to work on an episode while the host problem is being fixed, upload your original recording.
