Step-by-step guide
How to create podcast show notes, chapters and newsletters
Find and check podcast show notes, chapters, newsletters and blog drafts in PodRescale. Copy the text into your podcast host, email tool or website.
Prepare episode materials and publish the checked text in your own tools.

PodRescale creates episode materials from the recording, including show notes and longer writing. Find them in the episode's Release kit. Treat the generated text as a draft to check before publishing.
1. Open the Release kit
Open a finished episode and select Release kit. Choose the item you need. The available items depend on the episode and its processing result.
2. Check the show notes
Read the summary and topic list. Verify names, job titles, numbers and any links against the recording. Add useful links that were mentioned but are not present in the draft.
Use clear language for someone deciding whether to listen. Keep important details near the start and avoid repeating the episode title in every paragraph.
Copy the checked text into your podcast host's episode description. PodRescale does not automatically update the description at your host.
3. Review chapters and timestamps
Check that each chapter describes the conversation at that time. Listen around a timestamp if you are unsure. A very short recording may not have enough material for chapters.
Your podcast host or player may require a particular chapter format. Paste a short sample first and check how it appears before publishing the whole list.
4. Prepare a newsletter or article
Open the newsletter or longer article draft. Check the argument against the conversation, remove repetitions and add context your readers need. Add your own introduction or call to action where helpful.
Copy the result into your email or website editor. Preview its headings, paragraphs and links there. PodRescale does not send the newsletter or publish the article to your site.
For a complete article workflow with a worked outline and an editable brief, follow how to turn a podcast into a blog post.
For writing that sounds closer to you from the start, set up your writing voice before processing future episodes.
5. Save the release materials
Use the item's copy or download action, or include text in Download all. Keep the materials with the recording so you can find the source when editing later.
Why should I check generated writing?
The writing is based on the episode, but unclear audio and transcription errors can affect the draft. Important names, numbers and quotes deserve a source check. The transcript helps you find the relevant moment quickly.
