How to fix a scheduled social post that did not publish

Check approval, scheduling, time zones, manual publishing and expired connections when a PodRescale social post has not gone out.

What you’ll be able to do

Find why a post has not gone out and recover it without creating a duplicate.

Check the post's current status before retrying. A post waiting in Review, a future scheduled item and a failed publish need different actions.

1. Check whether it is approved

Open Review. If the post is still waiting, check and approve it. Generated content does not publish just because the episode finished processing.

Autopilot can approve eligible new content, but some items can still be held for review. Inspect the actual post rather than assuming it was approved.

2. Check its time and time zone

Open Calendar and select the post. Confirm its date and time. If that time is still in the future, it is waiting normally.

Inspect the post's time and status in Calendar before retrying or creating another copy.

Check Settings → Posting if the times look consistently wrong. The workspace time zone affects how the publishing schedule is shown and used.

3. Check the publishing mode

Read How it goes out on the channel row. A manual channel requires you to post yourself; it does not automatically send content to the platform.

If you intended automatic publishing, follow account connection setup and check the returned status.

4. Read a failure message

For a failed post, open its details. If the account has expired, reconnect it. If the platform rejected the text or media, correct the stated issue before retrying.

PodRescale can retry temporary publishing errors automatically. Check the status and offered action so you do not submit the same content through several routes at once.

5. Check the result after recovery

After reconnecting, editing or retrying, reopen the original post. Look for its updated status and any published-post link. Read the recovery confirmation to know whether it is being sent now or returned to a scheduled slot.

If you decide to publish manually, first make sure the original will not also be sent automatically. Remove an upcoming scheduled post where needed before posting the same content yourself.

If the result is unclear

Contact support with the episode, destination, planned time and exact error. Say whether you can already see the post on the platform. Avoid retrying repeatedly when publishing may have succeeded but the confirmation has not arrived.
