To turn a podcast into social content, add the episode to PodRescale, let it process, then check the posts and clips before you share them. This guide takes you through that whole journey. Your first episode is free and does not need a payment card.
The screenshots use a demo podcast. Your episode names, dates and counts will be different.
1. Sign in to PodRescale
Choose Try it free on the PodRescale website. Continue with Google, or enter your email address and open the sign-in link we send you. There is no password to create.
If you use email, keep the sign-in page open while you check your inbox. Look in spam if the message does not arrive. Use the most recent link if you requested more than one.
2. Choose how to add your episode
Start with the source you already have:
| Your source | What to do |
|---|---|
| A published podcast | Find your show or connect its public RSS feed. Choose one episode to process. |
| An audio or video file | Choose Upload a file. Select the recording from your computer. |
| A direct media URL | Choose Paste a link. Use a public address for the actual audio or video file. |
A Spotify episode page, Apple Podcasts episode page or YouTube watch page is not a direct media file. The most reliable route for a video is to upload the original recording. See how to upload an episode.
For a feed, check the show's name, cover art and episode title before you start. Connecting a feed does not mean you have processed its whole back catalogue. Choose a useful episode for your first try.
3. Start processing and wait for the result
Confirm the selected episode and start processing. PodRescale transcribes the recording, identifies speakers, writes the content, and renders visual assets.
The processing page shows progress. A longer recording takes more time than a short one. You can leave the page; we email you when the episode is ready. Do not upload it again just because it is still processing.
If a speaker needs a name, listen to the sample and identify them. Check any suggested name before accepting it. If processing fails, use the recovery action shown on the episode. The processing troubleshooting guide explains what to check.
4. Open your episode and find its content
Open the finished episode from Episodes. Its tabs separate Schedule, Clips, Quote cards, Release kit and Transcript. Start with Overview to see what is ready and what needs your attention. Open Schedule to find social posts, including written pieces under Made, not scheduled when you have not added a channel.
Check names, facts, links and quotes before sharing. Open the transcript when you want to verify what someone said. You can copy or download content without connecting a social account.
5. Connect an account if you want automatic publishing
Open Settings → Posting. Add a channel, choose the platform, and connect the account you want PodRescale to publish to. Check the account name when you return. A manual channel lets you post yourself instead.
Choose your posting days and check the time zone. The social account guide explains the connection choices.
6. Review and approve your first post
Open Review. Select a post, read it, check its media and destination, and make any edits. Check the day and time beside the approval action, then approve it.
Approved posts appear in Calendar. Approval schedules the post for its time; it does not necessarily publish it immediately. Keep Autopilot off while you are learning so new content waits for you to check it.
What should you do next?
Set your writing voice and brand style before processing more episodes. Then learn how to work with podcast clips and manage your publishing calendar.
Common first-time questions
Do I have to connect a social account?
No. You can use the generated content by copying text or downloading files, then publish it yourself.
Why has nothing published yet?
Check that the post is approved, its account is connected for automatic publishing, and its scheduled time has arrived. A post waiting in Review still needs your approval.
Where do I go on my phone?
Use the app's navigation to open Episodes, Review, Calendar or Settings. In this help centre, Browse guides opens all topics and On this page opens the steps in the current guide.
