How to manage and reschedule podcast social posts

Use PodRescale's Calendar to check upcoming posts, move a publishing time, return a post to Review and find failed posts.

What you’ll be able to do

Know what is scheduled and safely change or remove a post before it publishes.

Use Calendar to see when your posts are planned and what happened to earlier ones. Review approves content; Calendar helps you manage the timing and status of that content.

For the planning step, use the podcast content calendar guide and free template, then manage the actual publishing schedule here.

1. Open the current week

Choose Calendar from the app navigation. Use the previous and next controls to move between weeks. Use Today to return to the current period.

The month view helps you look further ahead. Open a day to inspect its week, or choose a post to see its details.

Check the coming week and open a post to see its content and status.

2. Check a post's status

Open the post and read its destination, time and current state. Scheduled content is waiting for its time. Published content has gone out. A failed post needs the recovery action shown on it.

An empty slot is not a published post and does not mean content was lost. It may be an available publishing time or a place that has not been filled yet.

3. Move an individual post

Open the scheduled post and use its move or time control. Choose the destination time offered by the app, then confirm the change.

Check the new time in Calendar afterwards. Make sure it is the post you intended to move and that its account is still correct. Moving one post does not change every channel's weekly pattern.

4. Remove a post before publishing

Open the scheduled post and choose Remove from calendar. It returns to Review, where you can edit, approve or skip it.

Do this before the post begins publishing. Once a post is published, removing a calendar entry is not a way to delete the post from the social platform.

5. Investigate a failed post

Open the failed item and read the reason. An expired connection requires reconnection; a rejected piece of content may require an edit. Use the offered retry action only after dealing with the cause.

What if the whole schedule looks wrong?

Open Settings → Posting and check the weekly pattern, channel times and time zone. After changing those settings, return to Calendar and inspect the next few posts. Do not move every item individually if the underlying time zone is the problem.
