Step-by-step guide
How to customise podcast quote cards, clips and brand colours
Set your podcast's colours, quote card style and video caption look in PodRescale. Preview changes and choose speaker framing for future clips.
Save a consistent visual style for the content generated from future episodes.
On this page
Use Settings → Look to choose how your podcast's visual content appears. Set this before processing more episodes so new quote cards and clips start with a consistent style.
1. Check the podcast you are editing
Make sure the current workspace is the right show. Look settings belong to that workspace. If you manage more than one, switch to the correct one before changing colours or images.
2. Choose your colours and visual template
Open Look and check the current colours, artwork and template. Use the colour controls to match the show's visual identity. If the app offers colours picked from your artwork, preview them before keeping them.
Choose readable combinations. A pale highlight on a pale background can be hard to read even when both colours match your brand.
3. Set your clip caption style
Choose the caption preset, position and size. Use the preview to see how the words sit on the frame. Check that the style is readable at phone size.
The caption guide explains the difference between text inside the video and a written social caption.
4. Choose video framing
Automatic speaker framing focuses the clip around a speaker. The full-frame choice keeps the source picture together. Consider full frame for demonstrations, presentations or scenes where cropping would hide useful information.
Choose the setting that fits the recording, then check the rendered result. A framing setting is not a substitute for previewing the final clip.
5. Wait for the save and check future output
Look for the saved confirmation before leaving. If there is an error, keep your changes visible and follow the recovery action.
Process your next episode and review a quote card and clip. Changing a setting does not update a file already downloaded or guarantee that every existing rendered asset is remade.
How do I change the writing style too?
Use Settings → Voice for writing samples and tone. Look controls visual presentation; Voice controls the writing guidance. See how to set your writing voice.
