What you’ll be able to do

Import your podcast's episode list and choose how new episodes are handled.

Before you start

  • The public RSS feed for your podcast
  • Access to the workspace you want to use

Connecting an RSS feed lets PodRescale find recordings from your podcast. You do not need to upload a file for each published episode. Importing an episode into the list and processing it into content are separate steps.

1. Find the public RSS feed

Your podcast host provides the feed URL, usually in the show's settings or distribution section. Copy that address. A Spotify or Apple Podcasts episode page is not the feed itself.

Our guide to finding your podcast RSS feed covers common places to look. Private, password-protected feeds cannot be read.

2. Find your show or paste its feed

On the first-run screen, find your show or enter its public RSS address. Review the returned name, cover art and episode details. If several shows have similar names, confirm that you chose yours before continuing.

For an existing workspace, use the feed controls in Episodes. Check which podcast you are working in before making a feed change.

For a new workspace, enter the show name or RSS address and choose Find my show.

3. Choose the first episode to process

Pick the episode you want to turn into content. Start with one recent recording so you can check the output before processing more of your back catalogue.

Existing episodes can be listed without being processed. Starting processing uses an episode from your free or monthly allowance. The list itself is not a batch processing request.

4. Check automatic processing

Use the feed screen to check how new episodes are handled. Read the current setting before leaving: automatic processing can use your allowance as new recordings appear.

Pause automatic processing when you want to choose episodes yourself. You can still return to the list and start an eligible episode manually.

Feed discovery is periodic, so a newly published episode may not appear immediately. Check the feed's last-check information and use its refresh action when offered.

5. Check the imported result

Once an episode has finished processing, open it from Episodes. Check speaker names, generated text and media before sharing. New posts wait for approval unless Autopilot is enabled.

If an episode is missing

Open the public feed and confirm the episode is listed there. Some podcast hosts publish to listening apps before updating the feed you connected. Check the feed address and the latest successful check in PodRescale.

If the episode is listed but has not processed, check automatic processing and the allowance in Settings → Plan. Read the RSS troubleshooting guide for the next steps.

If your podcast host changes

Use the feed management screen to update the source for the same show. Check the new address and show identity before confirming. Do not add an unrelated podcast as a replacement for the current one.
