Step-by-step guide

How to download podcast clips, posts and transcripts

Save the content made from a podcast episode. Copy posts and show notes, download clips and images, or use Download all for an episode ZIP in PodRescale.

What you’ll be able to do

Save the text and media you need so you can publish them in your own tools.

Before you start

  • A finished episode with the content you want to save
On this page

You can copy text and download files from a finished episode without connecting a social account. Use individual actions for one piece, or Download all to save a group of assets.

Copy a social post or longer piece

Open the episode and choose Schedule for social posts or Release kit for longer writing. Select the piece you want, check its wording, then use Copy. Written pieces without a channel appear under Made, not scheduled in Schedule. Paste the copied text into your social platform, newsletter editor or website.

Check the pasted result before publishing. Different tools handle line breaks, links and formatting differently. Copying content does not publish it or mark a scheduled post as completed.

Download a clip or image

Choose Clips or Quote cards, open the item and use its download action. Save the file somewhere you can find it, then open it locally to verify the result.

For a clip, play the downloaded video. For a quote card, check text and speaker credit at full size. The clip guide and quote card guide explain what to check.

Download an episode pack

Open Episode options (⋯) near the top of the episode page, then choose Download all. Choose the offered group, such as all content, clips, images or text, and let the download finish.

Open Episode options near the top of the episode, then choose Download all.
Open Episode options near the top of the episode, then choose Download all.

The pack is a ZIP file. Extract it before opening its contents. Keep the episode title with the files so you can trace them back to the source later.

Choose all content or the specific file group you need from the download menu.

Copy or save the transcript

Open Transcript to read and check the text. Use the transcript's copy action, or include text in the episode download. Verify important quotes against the timestamped recording before reusing them.

Downloading on a phone

Your browser may put the file in Downloads or open a share/save sheet. Save it to Files or your device's downloads folder. A video preview opening in the browser does not necessarily mean the file has been saved.

If Copy or Download does not work

If the browser blocks clipboard access, select and copy the text yourself. For a download problem, keep the episode page open, check your connection, and try the individual file.

If the asset still reports rendering or an error, wait for it to become available. Do not treat an unfinished preview as the final download. If it has failed, follow processing help.
