What you’ll be able to do

Prepare an Instagram clip or image and choose automatic or manual publishing.

Use short podcast clips for Instagram Reels and quote cards for image posts. A useful result starts with a moment that makes sense without the full recording, readable captions and a checked written caption.

1. Create and preview the clip

Upload your video recording or process a podcast episode, then open Clips. Play the complete result and check its framing, audio and subtitles.

Choose and preview a clip before sharing it as a Reel.

If you used audio, the clip can be an audiogram rather than footage of the speakers. Check that its visuals fit the point you are sharing.

For that complete workflow, follow how to create Reels from an audio-only podcast, including the example caption and publishing checklist.

2. Check both kinds of caption

The words inside the video and the written Instagram caption are different. Use the written caption to explain the moment and give a useful next step. Avoid adding unsupported claims or unrelated hashtags.

Editing the written caption does not change burned-in video subtitles. See clip captions.

3. Choose your publishing route

For automatic publishing, open Settings → Posting, add Instagram and follow the connection flow. The provider will show any account or permission requirements. Check the returned account name and publishing mode.

For manual posting, download the clip, save the written caption and upload the video in Instagram. Use the platform's preview to check its crop and caption placement.

4. Review and schedule

Open the Instagram item in Review, play its media and check the caption, destination and time. Approve it when ready. The scheduled post appears in Calendar.

Your posting schedule is not a guarantee that the platform will accept every piece of media. If a post fails, read its error before retrying.

Sharing a quote card instead

Open Quote cards, verify the quote and name, then download the image or review its planned Instagram post. Check that the image text is readable on a phone. See quote card instructions.

If Instagram cannot connect

Check the account used in the provider's sign-in flow and follow its account-access guidance. You can publish manually while resolving the connection. Use connection help if PodRescale still shows it as expired.
