Step-by-step guide
How to make AI podcast posts sound like you
Teach PodRescale your writing style with samples and an editable voice summary. Make future podcast posts and longer drafts sound closer to your own writing.
Save writing samples and a clear voice summary for future generated content.
Before you start
- A few pieces of writing you wrote yourself
On this page
Your writing voice tells PodRescale how you normally explain ideas. Add real examples of your writing, then check the voice summary built from them. This is separate from naming the people speaking in an episode.
1. Choose useful writing samples
Use a few LinkedIn posts, newsletter passages or article sections you wrote yourself. Choose examples that represent the tone you want, rather than a mix of unrelated styles.
A long sales page full of slogans may teach a different style from your usual educational posts. Avoid samples written by someone else unless that is intentionally the voice of your show.
2. Add samples in Voice settings
Open Settings → Voice and use the action to add writing you have written. Paste the sample and follow the form's guidance. If the sample is too short, add enough writing for the app to accept it.
3. Read and edit the voice summary
Read the summary after your samples have been added. Make it concrete: short paragraphs, direct language, how you use examples, and the kind of phrasing you avoid.
For example, “Use plain words, explain one idea at a time, and end with a practical action” gives clearer guidance than “Be authentic and engaging.” Do not add facts or claims you want inserted into every post.
Wait for the saved confirmation. If the app cannot save, keep the draft and follow the recovery message.
4. Check the next episode's writing
Process an episode after saving your voice. Read a few generated posts and a longer piece. Edit anything that does not fit and refine the summary if you see a repeated problem.
Changing the voice does not rewrite an already-published post. Check existing drafts individually; do not assume they were regenerated after a settings change.
Which samples work best?
Use writing that is recent, recognisably yours and suited to the audience you are publishing for. Keep the sample library focused. Adding more text is less useful than adding good examples.
Can different podcasts have different voices?
Voice settings belong to the workspace you are in. Check the podcast name before editing so you apply a client's style to the right show. See workspace and team help.
