How to review, edit and approve podcast social posts

Check podcast social posts before publishing. Edit the wording, verify the source and media, then approve or skip posts in PodRescale's Review queue.

What you’ll be able to do

Check a post and approve it for the correct account and publishing time.

Before you start

  • A processed episode with posts waiting in Review
On this page

Use Review to check content before it goes out. Each post shows its destination and planned publishing time. You can edit it, approve it, or skip it.

1. Open the Review queue

Choose Review in the app navigation. Select a post from the queue. Check the episode it came from so you know which recording you are reviewing.

The queue is on the left. The selected post and its publishing details are on the right.

2. Read the post and check its source

Read the full text, including the portion behind a platform's preview fold. Verify names, numbers, claims, links and any speaker credit.

Use Open in transcript to check the source moment. A generated quality score does not replace your factual review. Check that the post preserves the point the speaker made.

For a post with a clip or image, preview the media too. Editing the written text does not change an image or burned-in video subtitles.

3. Make edits and save

Choose Edit. Update the wording and check the character count shown by the editor. Save and read the preview again.

The editor shows your text and preview side by side. Save becomes available after you change the text.

For an X thread, check each part rather than only the first post. Keep the opening clear and make sure the thread still follows a useful sequence after your changes.

If saving fails, keep the draft and follow the error message. Do not approve until the preview shows the version you want.

4. Check the account and publishing time

Verify the destination and the Publishes time before approving. If the time is wrong, use the scheduling control offered on the post to choose a suitable time.

A connected automatic channel publishes for you. A manual channel needs you to post the content yourself. If a connection has expired, read the warning; approving a post does not repair that connection.

5. Approve or skip

Choose Approve to schedule the post. It leaves the Review queue and appears in Calendar. Approval does not mean it has published immediately: the post goes out at its scheduled time.

Choose Skip when you do not want that piece to go out. If an undo action appears, use it straight away to reverse an accidental decision.

Use Approve all only after checking the batch. Read its confirmation so you know how many posts and destinations it affects. For your first episode, approving one post at a time is easier to verify.

Reviewing on a phone

Open Review and choose a post from the queue. The mobile layout separates the queue and the selected post so both remain readable. Return to the queue to choose the next one.

On a phone, use the queue and post view to review one item at a time.

What if I approve the wrong post?

Before it publishes, open it in Calendar and use Remove from calendar to return it to Review. Then check or edit it again. See how to manage your calendar.
