Step-by-step guide
How to connect social media accounts to a podcast publishing schedule
Connect LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube or TikTok to PodRescale. Understand automatic publishing, manual channels, reconnection and account selection.
Add a social channel and know whether PodRescale publishes automatically or you post yourself.
Before you start
- Workspace owner access
- Access to the social account you want to use
On this page
Add social channels in Settings → Posting. For each channel, decide whether to connect an account for automatic publishing or post the content yourself.
1. Open Add channel
Choose Settings → Posting, then Add channel. Select the platform you want. Only the workspace owner can change these settings.
2. Choose automatic publishing or manual posting
An automatic connection gives the publishing service access to send posts to the account you select. A manual channel keeps the schedule and reminders while you publish the content yourself.
If the account cannot be connected or you prefer to keep publishing in your own hands, use the manual option. Adding a platform chip or manual channel is not the same as authorising automatic publishing.
3. Sign in and choose the correct account
Follow the connection flow. Sign in to the platform and choose the profile, page or channel you want. Check which account is already signed in before continuing, especially on a shared browser.
Read the platform's permission screen. The options it offers depend on the account and access you have. Use the provider's own screen to handle sign-in or permission problems.
4. Check the result in Posting settings
When you return, check the account name and publishing mode in the channel row. A successful automatic connection should show that it auto-publishes. If the row still says expired or requires attention, it is not ready.
Choose the days and times for the channel. Then approve one test post you have checked and inspect its status after its scheduled time.
5. Reconnect an expired account
Use the row's Reconnect action and sign in again. Check the account name after returning. Read the confirmation carefully: reconnecting can retry failed posts or restore waiting ones.
Inspect Calendar afterwards so you know what is due. See connection troubleshooting.
Disconnect or change an account
Use ⋯ on the channel row and read the confirmation before disconnecting. Already-published posts are not deleted. Waiting or scheduled content is handled according to the confirmation shown.
To avoid publishing to the wrong profile, check pending posts before replacing a connection. Do not assume a different account is interchangeable with the old one.
Platform-specific guides
Follow the guide for LinkedIn, X, Instagram, YouTube Shorts or TikTok. Each guide explains the content to check before publishing.
