What you’ll be able to do

Identify the people in an episode and check that generated content credits them correctly.

PodRescale separates voices in a recording and can ask you to identify them. Naming a speaker helps posts, quote cards and captions credit the right person. A suggested name still needs checking.

1. Check the speaker sample

When the episode asks for a name, play the audio sample. Listen to enough context to know who is speaking. Do not identify a guest only by a generic label such as Speaker 2.

Use the speaker sample and episode context to identify the person.

2. Add or choose the correct person

Enter the person's name and the requested details. Choose an existing speaker when the same person returns. Check the spelling, especially for names that are unclear in the audio.

Use the appropriate role for the voice. A host, guest and other voice in the recording are not always interchangeable. Follow the roles offered by the screen rather than turning every voice into a guest.

3. Save and wait for content updates

Save the speaker details. If the app says posts, cards or captions are being updated, wait for that work to finish before approving or downloading the affected content.

Open the episode and check the credit on a few pieces. Published posts stay as they went out; do not assume a name correction changes something already shared on a platform.

Manage regular speakers

Open Settings → Voice to review saved speaker profiles. Keep names and descriptions current, and avoid creating duplicate profiles for the same returning guest.

What if one person appears as two voices?

Use the episode's voice controls if they offer a way to join voices. Listen to both samples first. Two people with similar voices should not be combined just because the labels look alike.

If the app does not offer the correction you need, contact support with the episode and speaker labels. Do not approve content with the wrong attribution.

Are speaker names the same as my writing voice?

No. Speaker profiles identify people in the recording. Your writing voice controls how generated posts are written.
