Step-by-step guide
How to schedule podcast posts for social media
Set posting days, times and a time zone for podcast social content in PodRescale. Understand automatic channels, manual posting and approval before publishing.
Set a weekly schedule and understand how approved posts reach their publishing times.
Before you start
- Workspace owner access to change posting settings
On this page
PodRescale puts episode posts into your channel's available publishing times. Set your weekly pattern once, then review the actual time on each post before approving it.
1. Add the channels you use
Open Settings → Posting. Use Add channel to choose a platform and connection mode.
An automatic channel publishes through its connected account. A manual channel reminds you to post yourself. Check the How it goes out status on each row so you know which mode it uses.
2. Choose your posting days
Choose the weekly pattern offered by the page: a lighter schedule, weekdays or every day. Pick a pattern you can keep up with, especially if you plan to review each post manually.
To give a channel its own days or times, use ⋯ on its row. Follow the offered schedule controls and save the changes.
3. Check the first-post time and time zone
Choose the first-post time and verify the time zone. The channel rows show the resulting times. Different channels may use different times during the day.
Check the time zone even if the clock times look right. A 9:00 slot in the wrong zone can publish hours earlier or later than you intended.
4. Review each planned post
After an episode finishes, its eligible social posts are assigned to available slots. New posts wait in Review unless Autopilot is on. Use the review guide to check and approve them.
The actual schedule depends on your channels and available slots. Check Calendar rather than assuming every episode has the same number of posts or finishes publishing within a fixed number of days.
5. Check changes in Calendar
Changing the weekly pattern can move already-approved posts to suitable slots while keeping them approved. After a schedule change, open Calendar and check the next few posts.
To change only one post, move it in Calendar instead of changing the whole weekly pattern. See calendar instructions.
What happens without an automatic connection?
You can still copy or download the content and post it yourself. A manual channel does not give PodRescale permission to publish to your account. Follow the manual posting reminders and check the content on the platform yourself.
Why has an approved post not published?
Check its time, status and channel connection. If the account is expired, reconnect it. If the post has failed, follow publishing troubleshooting.
