Keep the thought. Lose the ums.

Clear ums and uhs can now be cut from the actual audio and video, with long pauses shortened to help your clips get to the point.

Switch between Tightened and As recorded. The counts shown are sample data, not a measured result for this recording.

A cleaner cut, without a manual edit

A strong point can get buried in hesitation. PodRescale can now remove clearly separated ums and uhs from the audio and video itself, and shorten long quiet pauses. Captions stay aligned with the edited clip.

The aim is to tighten the moment while keeping the speaker's words. Cuts are checked before they're used. Unclear fillers, overlapping speech and words joined too closely to a filler are left alone. Phrases such as “like” and “you know” stay in.

See what changed. Keep what sounds right.

Open a clip to see what its render removed, such as ums cut or pauses shortened. Prefer the original pacing? Choose As recorded to rebuild it without those cuts. You can return to Tightened while the clip is still eligible to change.

The current video stays available while its replacement renders. Once a post using the clip has been approved, the switch is locked so the approved video doesn't change underneath it.

Older clips and transcripts without supported edits keep their existing timing. Your original recording stays intact.
